PRIVACY & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION AGREEMENT
It is Oberfeld Snowcap’s Agreement regarding Privacy & External Communication that all its communications with third parties comply with the requirements of Canada’s privacy legislation, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”), the Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, passed in 2010 and effective July 1st 2014 (“CASL”), and our own commitment to protecting our clients’ privacy.
Why does Oberfeld Snowcap collect Personal Information?
Oberfeld Snowcap, under Canada’s privacy laws, requires marketers to identify to individuals why Personal Information is being collected and the purpose(s) intended for said Personal Information. This information can be collected through dialogue box or prominent notice backed up by a more detailed privacy policy. The Personal Information collected must be offered to an individual prior to or at the time of Personal Information collection. Oberfeld Snowcap’s clients’ Personal Information being disclosed outside of Oberfeld Snowcap, is to be made on a confidential basis, with the purpose of said information to be used only for the purpose for which it was disclosed.
Oberfeld Snowcap collects Personal Information for the following purposes:
1.1 To responsibly maintain and establish all commercial relationships with our clients and provide professional services ongoing. For example, Oberfeld Snowcap’s collection of information allows for the confirmation of client’s identity and billing information so that Oberfeld Snowcap can bill for its services accurately and comply with FINTRAC anti-money laundering legislation.
1.2 To better understand our client’s needs and preferences and better inform our clients of our professional services, Oberfeld Snowcap maintains a record of services that our clients receive from Oberfeld Snowcap. We may ask for additional information (for example, newsletter blast requests and professional feedback requests) so that we can better meet those needs thus further develop improved service and offerings to our clients.
1.3 Oberfeld Snowcap collects Personal Information to meet legal and statutory requirements. For example, this includes information required by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.
