Director, Client Services

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Director, Client Services to join the Oberfeld Snowcap Retail Advisory team and develop the US market. Location: anywhere in the US with a desire for a larger market like LA, NYC, Boston, DC, etc.
This role is focused on developing and managing relationships with retail tenants, landlords, and developers. The ideal candidate will specialize in retail leasing and tenant representation, helping to secure prime retail locations and drive successful lease negotiations.
You will be responsible for identifying retail leasing opportunities, executing development strategies, and guiding clients through every stage of the commercial real estate process.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing real estate advisory services and negotiating services to and on behalf of our clients
Manage deals through all stages of the development process
Ability to create market penetration strategies for clients
Cross functional teamwork – Client Services, GIS Services, Marketing and Real Estate Services, etc
Represent retail tenants in the leasing of commercial retail spaces.
Support on Business Development lead generation
Source new client opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, developers, landlords, and other stakeholders.
Identify and present prime retail locations based on client needs, brand strategy, and market trends.
Negotiate lease terms and conditions to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Prepare and present proposals, site selection packages, comparative lease and market analyses.
Collaborate with marketing and research teams to create compelling marketing materials.
Stay informed of local market dynamics and competitive properties.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, activity logs, and pipeline reports.
Attend industry events and trade shows to generate leads and stay connected to the market
Organize Market tours
Expected travel approximately 50%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, brokerage, or retail leasing.
- Excellent knowledge of the retail landscape in the USA
- Active real estate license (required or must be obtained within a set timeframe).
- Proven track record of business development and closing deals.
- Strong knowledge of retail real estate market trends and tenant mix strategy in USA
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
- Proficient in CRM tools, real estate listing platforms , and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with national and regional retail brands.
- Background in tenant representation, site selection, or landlord leasing services.
- Familiarity with lease structuring, financial modeling, and real estate legal terms.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic Associate, Commercial Real Estate Services to join our team. The ideal candidate is resourceful with a passion for real estate, an excellent communicator and demonstrate a drive to succeed in the real estate industry.
As a member of the Commercial Real Estate Services team and reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent provides tangible support and acts as the primary point of contact for our clients. In this role, they maintain and build strong relationships with our clientele and identify opportunities for improving administrative processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and draft comprehensive agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions align with client requirements and standards.
• Develop and prepare detailed mandates that outline the scope of services and responsibilities, in compliance with client specifications and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor the progress and implementation of all agreements and mandates, ensuring that all actions are taken in accordance with the established terms, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Actively engage in client meetings and calls, ensuring all discussions are documented, and effectively managing the execution of follow-up actions based on client feedback and requests.
• Compile comprehensive and tailored client packages, including site selections, leasing reports, and other necessary documents to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Execute tasks and deliver projects in strict accordance with the clients’ unique specifications and needs, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.
• Prepare and draft thorough and insightful leasing reports, analyzing market trends, lease terms, and other relevant factors to assist clients in their decision-making process.
• Efficiently input and manage deal data within the Dealmaker system, ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for ongoing and future deal analysis.
• Develop and present detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasting reports, ensuring all financial data is accurately represented and aligned with organizational goals.
• Generate and issue invoices for all successfully closed deals, ensuring accuracy in billing details and timely follow-up for payment collection.
• Support the execution of all ongoing deals by coordinating necessary resources, managing timelines, and ensuring all parties involved adhere to agreed-upon terms.
• Accurately input and update all relevant information into tracking reports, ensuring a clear and current record of project status, deadlines, and milestones.
• Conduct research and identify comparable properties or transactions, providing clients with relevant market insights and data to support their decision-making process.
• Regularly update and maintain data within LeaseUp, ensuring that all site-related information is accurate, current, and accessible for future reference.
• Ensure timely follow-up with clients and stakeholders regarding insurance documentation, deposit requirements, and the removal of any conditions stipulated in agreements.
• Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new clients by organizing and participating in kick-off meetings, establishing clear communication channels, and setting expectations for the project ahead.
• Collect and organize essential information required to prepare marketing materials such as brochures, signage, email blasts, and other promotional content, ensuring that all assets align with client branding and messaging.
• Manage and perform a wide range of administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, coordinating ICSC events, booking travel arrangements, and handling various office tasks to ensure operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
· A college or university degree is required.
· Previous experience in retail, commercial real estate, or consulting is an asset.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
· Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good understanding of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
