    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Based out of our Toronto office and acting as a first point of support to the Client Services team, the associate is the service contact for a portfolio of retail accounts. They maintain and build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for process improvement. They also gain exposure to a professional sales environment and receive training from market professionals while working closely with experts in the firm.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate in maintaining relationships with our retail clients and business partners.
    • Ensure each department is informed of pertaining information from the tenants signed documentation.
    • Assist in strategic client real estate meetings and input all data in the property management system. Prepare reports for operational / internal purposes within the property management system.
    • Oversee and execute filing in clients’ files and minute books: create, monitor and maintain client files for better file management and client service.
    • Responsible for tracking, modifying and filing all client related documentation. Analyze all new leases and coordinate the input of all data in the property management system.
    • Prepare lease proposals, presentations and reports for client meetings and events.
    • Stay up to date on all active deals and projects. Refer to appropriate sales representative in obtaining accurate client data.
    • Gather various statistical information used for conducting analysis for our clients.
    • Maintain a close relationship with colleagues to ensure sharing of information.
    • Other tasks as requested by management.

    SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • College or University degree is required.
    • Previous work experience in retail, commercial real estate or service industry is considered an asset.
    • High-level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and in a professional manner.
    • Ability to work as part of a small team.
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Fully proficient with MS Office Applications (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Vice-President, Business Development works to improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. They define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. They collaborate with internal teams, marketing staff and other managers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve these targets, they attract and retain potential new clients by delivering presentations regarding the firm’s services and value add.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
    • “Cold call” as appropriate within the Canadian market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging our network.
    • Research prospects and build relationships with new clients. Set up meetings between potential client decision makers and company’s practice leaders.
    • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
    • Overall contract management: Create, amend, and manage all client mandates/contracts and files.
    • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences.
    • Keep abreast of business trends and present to senior level management when need be.
    • Identify business opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
    • Share knowledge with team members and support junior staff as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • University Degree in a related field.
    • 5-8 years relevant experience or background in Sales or Retail.
    • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written i.e. presentations, public speaking, researching and writing proposals.
    • Excellent networking, persuasion, prospecting and closing abilities.
    • Aptitude to identify and meet clients’ needs.
    • Strong understanding of the Canadian Retail Market.
    • Self-starter with an absolute drive to succeed.
    • Display a high level of energy, passion and commitment.
    • Well organized, detail oriented with strong time management skills.
    • Able to work within a small team and communicate at all levels of the organization.
    • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
