In Memory of our Founder, Ted Oberfeld
September 15th, 1939 - March 7th, 2023
Ted founded Oberfeld Enterprises in 1979 and the company acquired Snowcap Investments in 2002 to create Canada’s leading tenant representation firm, Oberfeld Snowcap. Ted was a pioneer in the shopping center industry who innovated the retail advisory business by providing retailers with professional representation to Canada’s retail landlords. For almost half a century, Ted helped establish many of Canada’s leading retail entrepreneurs. Ted was also a mentor to many in our industry and touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness and ability to treat all his confrères in the industry with dignity, respect, and affection. Ted’s influence on Canada’s retail market will be remembered forever and generations to come will benefit from his legacy.
