Jay Freedman – Named President of Oberfeld Snowcap

Jay Freedman has been named President of Oberfeld Snowcap, effective December 1st. In his new role, Jay will be responsible for all client-focused divisions.  This is a significant milestone in the firm’s leadership evolution and further emphasizes Oberfeld Snowcap’s commitment to employee development and promoting from within.

Jay’s leadership through the pandemic has been instrumental to Oberfeld Snowcap’s current position of strength in an industry where many others have had significant challenges. Jay’s expertise is critical to Oberfeld Snowcap’s ability to continue growing and expanding its existing and new service offerings. Today, in addition to our strong Canadian national tenant rep business, we are continuing to develop multiple service offerings with our listing business in Quebec, which we plan to roll out nationwide, as well as a fast growing US national tenant rep business.

In February 2010, Jay joined Oberfeld Snowcap at our Montreal office as an Associate, Client Services and from the start demonstrated a high level of excellence in servicing clients and focusing on their business needs. Moving to Toronto in 2012, Jay was promoted to Vice President, Client Services in 2015 and appointed Executive Vice President, Business Development and Client Relations in 2019.

Harley Oberfeld will continue in his role as CEO, focusing on the long-term strategic growth direction and leadership of Oberfeld Snowcap.
