Our
mission

Oberfeld Snowcap’s mission is to provide our clients with innovative real estate advisory services that deliver profitability and global brand value.

About Us

Oberfeld Enterprises Inc., originally founded in 1979 by Ted Oberfeld merged in 2001 with Snowcap Investments (founded in 1978 by the late Seymore Obront), to create Canada’s leading tenant representation firm, Oberfeld Snowcap. Both Ted Oberfeld and Seymore Obront were the pioneers in the creation of the tenant representation business in Canada. Today, Oberfeld Snowcap represents premium local, national and international brands across the country. As Canada’s leading tenant representation firm and with our team of seasoned professionals, we have a unique understanding of the country’s commercial real estate industry and an expertise that is second to none.

A strong presence in the industry for over thirty years and an active player on the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) at the regional and executive levels, Oberfeld Snowcap has become the epicenter of Canadian retail real estate. Thanks to our solid and long-standing network, we are able to play an instrumental role in building client development plans and strategies. This, coupled with our collaborative relationship with landlords and developers, gives us the capacity to see and create opportunities for our clients.

BIOGRAPHY

Luc Lavigne came on board at Oberfeld Snowcap in August 2006 as an Account Executive after a successful and wide-ranging career. He began as a lawyer with Lambert, Harvey & Lavigne, but his career took a turn when San Francisco Boutiques / Les Ailes de la Mode Inc. offered him the new position of Vice-President, Corporate Development to head up the 185-store chain. In this role Luc was pivotal in the company’s corporate restructuring, lease negotiations and business development. He was then named Vice-President of Corporate Development followed by Vice-President, General Manager of Bikini Village / Les Ailes de la Mode Group Inc. (from 1994 to 2006). In this role he oversaw the operations of 59 Bikini Village stores in Quebec and Ontario, as well as corporate restructuring and implementing new business plans. This vast experience in the retail industry served Luc well when he made his move to Oberfeld Snowcap, bringing with him a client list that spans the fashion industry. In January of 2012, he was promoted to the position of Director – Client Services. An ICSC member for over 16 years, Luc has also made generous contributions to charity in his community over the years. He was founder and President of “Les Ailes de la Mode Foundation” whose innovative “Dream Home” project has raised over six million dollars for charitable organizations. Luc’s human touch is as precious as the solid industry experience he brings to Oberfeld Snowcap.
